self catering at the old farmhouse
Our cosy self catering cottage has been sympathetically converted from the original eighteenth century farmhouse and commands spectacular views of the surrounding countryside to the South.

Converted to an excellent standard, the accommodation has recently been awarded a Bronze Award under the North East England Tourism Awards 2011, and Four Stars Gold Award under the Enjoy England Awards for Excellence Scheme.

Additionally, the accommodation has been granted Aceess Exceptional status under the National Accessible Scheme criteria for wheelchair users.

the cottage
The lounge / dining area has large windows, taking full advantage of the beautiful views! Outside, the cottage has its own private garden with picnic table and chairs, and barbecue facilities.

the balcony
The lounge / dining area opens directly onto the balcony, which also provides same-level access back to the main entrance.

the bedrooms
The cottage has 2 cosy bedrooms and can sleep 4 people (an extra bed is available to accommodate a fifth person).

bathrooms
Each bedroom has en-suite facilities and has been designed with mobility impaired guests also in mind.
